The series or the movies?

Which does everyone prefer i prefer the series because i think it is better written then the movies.

I like the series more. But the movies tend to be alot more exciting

true the movies have an incredible amount of suspense

I can't pick either or, i love the series and the movies equally

The movies give you the what if ... happen effect. What ever happens in the movie can't happen in the manga. I have to pick the Series. Then the manga and movies.

In general I'd say: Episodes based on manga > Movies > Filler episodes

Overall I'd say I like the series better since it is the real story, so to speak. The movies are more or less filler stories that are usually quite good but I just see them as something extra.

I like the series better, but I prefer the manga version overall, since there are not really any plot holes in the manga, at least that I could pick up on. After all, as good as the cases that get adapted from the manga are, I still can't get over the fact that Japan ruined episode 5, creating a plot hole in the Game Company Murder case, and delayed the introduction of Haibara because of what they did to episode 13 (which is our 14th episode). Those things do not affect the excitement we all like about the series though, so I don't think that many people will agree with me.

I completely agree with you. I always hated how the anime version screwed up the early black organization cases.

I haven't gotten the chance to read the previous manga. I starting reading them at Chp. 625 maybe. Though I been buying the first few chapters from Viz. I just haven't read them yet.

I do prefer the movies though because they answer to many questions!!! but also the 1-2 hour episode specials do as well

Yes, they provide answers, but they are not technically the real answer, unless Gosho said otherwise, which he has definitely not put in any word about.
