Anyone interested in doing a podcast

Since scc is taking an extended break from the podcast and i'm stuck in school we need someone to drop some podcasts on youtube to keep new people interested in the movement plus i think it would be great to hear a new point of view

I would love to do a podcast but i would know what to say or where to start. I'm more of a behind the scenes gal.

Well, I somewhat have the time, but I kind of dropped every attempt at a podcast I did in the past. I think I'm more suited to blogging. I could do a question and answer related thing. Also, I do not get why we are pretty much exclusive to YouTube. It's nice and all, but it might be better to get into iTunes and/or Miro too.

Also, I think my writing style is better than what I can deliver with a podcast.

I don't know how to get these things started on itunes and at this point getting something new and consistent out there so people won't start trolling

Getting into iTunes and Miro is easy. The thing that makes it difficult here is the downloads for the podcast are only available from Mediafire, which I do not think has a feature for podcasts, but I think Blip.tv does, since LittleKuribo and the people behind Ask The Techies uses it. I could try turning some of my episode reviews into video reviews, but I am not too interested in signing up for YouTube, so they probably will not not be there.

As long as consistent and original it really doesn't matter where the content is posted

I have something in the works right now. I'm exporting something right now and I'll let you guys try it out when it is done. I will warn you all again though that I am more comfortable writing, so I am not too sure if it will be worth the time.

Alright, here is a video I did as a start up. If you guys think it is good, I will find a place to upload it to, since dropbox limits me to two GB.

Thanks, it will vary on when episodes are done but I might try to do one a week, excluding times like vacations and such.

The link to dropbox is no longer good, as I deleted the file from that server. I uploaded the episode to Blip.tv and it has iTunes distribution enabled. Next episode will not be available until next week, if enough people enjoy it. Link can be found on the Google+ page for the movement.

Aparrently, the podcast has been removed from the place I uploaded to, so I am abandoning the podcast. My reviews will be continued over at my blog.

Most likely, but it would have not really been any different from the review on my blog, where I don't use video clips. If anything, it was also images from the episode and manga counterpart. Anyway, my account is gone too, but I'm content with just my blog.

In my experience, I mean, if you'd reconsider, just thinking aloud here, keeping to the facts, and staying on topic is a good place to start. Meaning, talk about the things you need to talk about first and get that out of the way. Also getting comfortable with podcasting in general, and a good way to do that is to start things off with just laying down all the basic info on the campaign. Cause by then, you have a foundation that you can build on from there. Hope that helps, even if you don't end up doing one lol XD

I get nervous about public speaking too. Fortunately, after high school, was not forced to do so as much. I do get nervous during recording though, as my attempt obviously showed.

I won't be doing a podcast. At least, I don't think so. Basically, Just another support video for SCC. HMMMM yeah.

I think we're good with Professor C's podcast, maybe we can do a different kind of video.

Could probably trying having guest appearances again though. I might be willing to participate, but some of my thoughts on the series, especially considering episodes 5 and 13 (Japanese count on both), probably would not be something they would want to put in a podcast, though I did voice my views on why the manga is so much better a few places online, outside of servers I control.

Plus, it has been a while since he has posted an episode.

Having a guest on a podcast sounds good.  Why not voice your opinion, we all are entitled to them, just do it in a respectful way and try to keep an open mind.  I think that's the best way to start a discussion, which is what this movement needs right now.  If we can get more people talking about the series, we can spark more interest in it.  Also, he just did a podcast a few days ago, you should give it a look.
