Case Closed Movie 6: The Phantom of Baker Street

I'm not sure why there are two section for the English movie releases, but there's nothing I can do. Anyway, what do you guys think about The Phantom of Baker Street? It is my favorite, as many should know by now, but the Sherlock trivia in it bugs me because a lot of it is not even part of the Sherlock canon. Anyway, if you guys are interested, I reviewed this movie on my blog too and included links to the Save Case Closed effort in it. Just say so and I will post the link.

This is my favorite as well.  To tell the truth, I don't know much about Sherlock, so the trivia didn't really bug me.

I really like this movie too. It had a good idea but it could have been executed better.

To me it was rather obvious who the killer was to me. The story of the murder was a bit weak compared to the earlier ones. It's not bad but compared to some of the other ones, in my opinion, it lacks that oomph.

I guess that's fair.

It was better than movie 1 though, since that just felt like an extended-length episode, not a movie. I think you should explain the obvious part though, because going by my memory, we were not supposed to be looking for the killer, much like some of the cases in the manga and anime (e.g. television studio murder case from the second season of FUNimation's release), but to see how Kudo and friends uncovered the truth that we somewhat already knew.
