Things you can bring to the table and what needs to added in order to succeed

I've been thinking about this for a while and I thought maybe it's time to figure out what exactly do we all have to bring to the table when it comes to helping the movement for starters at one point I was on youtube making amvs and short podcasts for the movement but I stopped when my work computer went down and I lost all of my content so in the future I hope to get another computer and start contributing again

I've been streaming Conan stuff on my Livestream for several months now on a weekly basis. A few people come out every now and then but nothing major yet. I have been planning on doing talk shows on it but I still haven't gotten anything around on that front. I also thought of showing little advertisements for the series/forums would be great but I don't know how to edit videos. Work and my own procrastination have been getting in the way of getting any further.

I used to review the anime and even tried my hand at doing a podcast, before just doing the written reviews. I do not plan to get back into either one of those, but I need to catch up on book reviews so that I can continue reviewing the latest releases from Viz.

im part of the voice actors for the fan dub and i try to post messages on the scc facebook page when i can also try to get some friends involved but outside of that i really haven't done much. I'm sure i could try my hand at a podcast of even just learn more on editing videos just to get word out but finding the time is always the problem.

Now what are some things that can be done to help further the movement?

Simplest way would be if other people posted their own reviews of episodes, movies, and manga, whether they are written or done as podcasts, and share them with the community.

After all, there do not seem to be very people doing that, since most of the others that I know talking about the series are on hiatus, forgot about their site, or, like me, just waiting for new material in their area, especially since Viz only seems to release volumes quarterly at best. Not only is there a lack of people in the English community talking about the series, but also I think that actually discussing the series would help the movement.

Also, I am kind of tired being one of the only ones, if not the only one, that shares their Detective Conan stuff.

I hope so as well. But in the end there isn't much to do that we haven't done already. Just keep it up and make it fun rinse and repeat.

Nothing new on my end, but I have been sharing news related to both Detective Conan and Magic Kaito around the net, so that should spark some interest in the series, which is another simple thing people can do.

Anyway, I have pretty much got caught up on my book reviews and got the chance to write a review of volume 52 of the manga. Not going to mean much though due to Viz's slow release cycle for the series.

so, it turns out that the voice of Jimmy kudo, Jerry Jewell will be at Ohayocon. he's having a Q&A, does anyone have any questions they want me to try and ask him?

I'm going to be there for the q&a too. I have a few questions written up to possibly ask.

So, the Q&A went well.  I found out that he's still a fan of the show and would love to work on it again, going as far to say he missed doing it.  I also found out that he is willing to be a part of our Save Case Closed panel.  With that said, there are no set in stone plans.  Yet.

Sorry for the inactivity from me with the forums. I recently started going back to school two years ago and I've been busy with that and with allkidsoutofthepool. I recently also had to stop streaming for a while due to me being burnt out and stressed from school and numerous other things. I currently am going to stream, maybe not every weekend like I was doing so I won't burn myself out again but I will and as you know from the new podcast, I stream Case Closed. I will also look into maintaining the SCC website and forums more.

I have now decided to stop streaming Conan stuff unless asked. Since Crunchyroll is streaming things now, I feel like I should try to tell people to watch that instead. I'm focusing more on getting a crash course rundown of the series for conventions. I'm tackling the dub part of the series first and later the rest of the series.

Man having Jerry Jewel at an SCC panel would be an awesome boost to the movement. If that happens Im sure that we can get not only more members but maybe even more people for work on a fan dub till something official comes along

At ohayocon, Travis asked if he wanted to do a panel and he says that he would love to do one. I was at ohayocon too but I had too short of time and was in total awe of just meeting him while there. Hopefully we can get him on board this year or next at a convention.

long time no see snipe1986, Con was fun and I got Jerry to sign all 5 seasons, all the movies, and a Jimmy figure as well, it took three day to get it all done but it was worth it.  I'm hopping that we can work with Jerry soon.
